Today’s eManna devotional invites us to live from the unshakable awareness that we are not under the curse, but under the blessing. It compares the lives of those still marked by complaining, darkness, and bitterness with that of Joseph—who endured betrayal, false accusation, and imprisonment without resentment. Instead of seeing these experiences as curses, Joseph saw the hand of God in every trial, saying in effect, “God sent me here.” He chose praise over blame.
The devotional shares a powerful secret: praise transforms the curse into blessing. It’s not that we are denying pain or injustice, but that through the lens of God’s sovereignty, even those things become woven into good. This is the New Testament call—to give thanks for all things, even the hurtful and misunderstood ones (Eph. 5:20). When we praise God instead of complaining, we live with a foretaste of the glory to come—where there will be no night, no curse, and no shadow between us and the shining presence of the Lord (Rev. 22:3,5).
This life of continual blessing is not a matter of circumstance, but of spiritual perspective. To reign in life now is to embrace the freedom of praise, even in the darkest season.
Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
You are not under the curse. You are Mine, redeemed from the darkness, and called to reign with Me. No longer do you walk in night, for I have shone My light upon you. The old has passed away. The accuser no longer speaks your name with authority, for I have silenced every charge with My blood.
In everything, give thanks. Let praise rise from your lips as a pleasing aroma. I dwell in your praises, and My presence causes even bitterness to blossom. I work all things together for your good—not just the pleasant things, but the hidden trials and whispered rumors. I take what others meant for evil and shape it for blessing.
You are seated with Me in the heavenlies. You reign not in your own strength, but because I have placed My Spirit within you. So do not complain—complaining forgets who you are. Instead, rejoice. Rejoice that you are part of a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Rejoice that the blessing is not something you earn, but something I have already given you in Myself.
The curse has no claim here. The light has come.

Real-Life Analogy
You know the moment when you stub your toe or spill coffee on yourself early in the day? It's easy to say, “Well, this day is ruined.” But then something small happens—someone smiles at you, or you hear a song that lifts your spirit—and suddenly the tone of the day shifts. The coffee stain didn’t change, but your focus did. What if you had responded with a laugh instead of frustration from the beginning? That one shift would have transformed the whole morning. That’s how praise works. It doesn’t change the facts—it changes how we walk through them.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, I thank You that I no longer live under the shadow of the curse. You have called me into blessing, not because of what I’ve done, but because of who I am in Christ. I trust that every disappointment, every opposition, even every unjust word spoken against me is being used by You to bring about good. I praise You—not just in the sunlight, but in the dim hours too. You are worthy. Your presence is my blessing, and Your peace is my atmosphere. I walk today with thanksgiving on my lips, because I know You reign in all things—and You reign in me.
