The Door Is Open, Draw Near

The way stands open, draw near.

Hebrews says we have boldness to enter the Holiest because of Jesus. Miles Stanford points out that the veil is torn, not for us to admire from a distance, but so we go in and abide. We do not wait on a priest to come out to bless us. The Father has opened the way, and He welcomes us to live from His presence.

This turns the volume down on earthbound religion. Ritual can be beautiful, yet if our hearts camp at the doorway, we miss the living fellowship offered inside. In Jesus, access is not earned by our pace or our promises. Access is granted by His blood. The way is open, so we come in confidence.

When we draw near, we discover the quiet power of the life of abiding in Christ. Fear starts to loosen, hurry starts to fade, and love begins to move outward with a steady tone. We become useful on earth because our center of gravity is above, where Jesus is.

So today I am choosing the inside place. Not peeking through the torn curtain, but stepping through it. Not longing for nearness, but enjoying the welcome that is already mine in Him.

Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I have opened the way. Through the blood of Jesus you have boldness to enter the Holiest. Draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Your access is by Me. I have joined you to the Son. I have seated you with Him. Come with confidence, not as a stranger, but as a child in the house.

I steady your heart as you come. Hold fast your confession without wavering, for I am faithful. Set your mind on the things above, where Christ is. Through Him you have introduction into this grace in which you stand. Come to the throne of grace, and find mercy for this hour.

I send you from My presence with peace. In union with Jesus you live, you move, you serve. Through Him you have free access. I am the Spirit of adoption in you, and I lead you in paths that honor the Father. Remain in this nearness, and let love be the overflow.

Real-Life Analogy
Think of a building with a keycard door. When your card is authorized, the reader beeps, the lock clicks, and the door is yours to enter. Standing outside and staring at the handle does nothing. The system has already accepted you, so the simple next move is to walk in. Life with Jesus is like that. The key is not your effort. The key is His finished work. The Holy Spirit is the One who brings you in and keeps you near as you trust Him.

Try this today. Before you open your inbox, start a meeting or need to have a difficult discussion, pause at that inner doorway and step in. Say, Lord, I rely on You to bring me in and express Your life through me in this next conversation. Then proceed with a calm heart, expecting His wisdom and kindness to show.

Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You for the torn veil and the welcome of Your presence. Thank You for bold access through Jesus, and for the Spirit who lives in me. I enter with confidence, not to earn anything, but to enjoy what You have given. I receive this day as a place to remain near You. Lord, I trust You to work through my words and my choices as I abide in You.
