Springs That Do Not Run Dry

John 4:14 pictures something more than a spiritual trickle. Jesus promises a spring within, rising and overflowing with His life. Oswald Chambers reminds me that this is not about scraping together enough willpower to act kind for another day. It is about staying right with the Source, then letting His life pass through me to others.
Chambers presses a gentle question. If I feel stalled or dry, is the Lord withholding, or have I drifted from simple trust and attention to Him. He is not pointing me to chase an experience. He points me to a Person. When I stay yielded to Jesus, life moves outward for the good of the people around me.
This is not a private blessing only. In the family of God, what the Lord pours in is meant to be shared. Obscure people, unnoticed by most, have often carried His life into rooms and neighborhoods because they remained true to Jesus in the quiet places.
So the call today is simple. Keep company with the Lord. Guard the inner connection. Receive, then allow His life to flow toward the people you meet.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I am with you. I place within you a spring of life that rises to eternal life. Believe in the Son, and out of your inner being I bring living water for others. Abide in Me, and I abide in you. Apart from Me you can do nothing, yet united with Me you bear much fruit. I dwell in you. Your body is My temple. I work in you to will and to do what pleases the Father. I strengthen you with power through My presence in the inner person, and I fill you so that grace overflows for every good work.
When your heart grows quiet before Me, I renew your mind. I lead you to put off the old habits that choke love, and to put on the new self created after God’s likeness. I pour the love of God into your heart. I make you a vessel that carries treasure in jars of clay, so that the surpassing power is clearly from God and not from you. Keep your gaze on the Lord Jesus. Let His word dwell richly in you. Be filled with My Spirit. Walk by the Spirit, and rivers do not run dry.

Real-Life Analogy
Think of a desk lamp. When it is plugged into the wall and the switch is on, the bulb glows. The lamp does not strain. It simply stays connected, and the current does the work. In the same way, the Holy Spirit within you supplies the life of Jesus as you remain yielded.
Try this today. Before you answer that email or step into a conversation that usually drains you, pause and say, Lord, I trust You to be the light in me for this moment. Then act with a relaxed heart, expecting His patience and clarity to show through your tone and choices.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that Jesus is the living Source within me. Thank You that Your Spirit dwells in me, that grace is sufficient for what this day holds, and that You work in me to will and to do what pleases You. I receive this day as a place for Your life to flow toward others. Lord, I trust You to express Your life through my words and actions today.
