The Cure We Trust
Healing doesn’t come through striving, but by staying where the light reaches you. Trust the One who tends you.

A.B. Simpson’s message today points us to the tender authority of the Lord as our Healer. He calls us to trust the Great Physician not just with belief, but with obedience. The key is not striving to earn healing, but resting in the One who has already declared Himself to be our Healer. Simpson uses Exodus 15:26 to remind us of God’s promise to bring wholeness to His people when they walk in step with Him.
Too often, we seek restoration without surrender. Simpson gently but firmly challenges the reader to live in such a way that aligns with the Spirit’s prescriptions, trusting not only in God's ability to heal, but in His process. We would not judge a human physician's work by immediate results, yet we sometimes become impatient with God when healing is not instant. The invitation today is to trust the process of the One who knows our whole being and walk in yielded obedience.
Simpson draws a clear connection between our environment and our restoration. He calls us to leave the "toxic" atmospheres of sin and breathe the clean air of trust. Wholeness is found where trust and obedience walk together in the light of Christ's presence. This is not a legalistic requirement but a loving call to follow the One who has already made provision for every part of our healing.
The balm of Gilead is not locked away. Christ Himself is near. He is not only able to heal, but He is the healing. To experience that healing, we are called to remain in Him and live in the light of what He has already made true—He is the Lord who heals you.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
You do not need to search far for healing, beloved. I am with you, and I am for you. I am the Lord who heals you. In Me is wholeness, and you are not disqualified from receiving it. I invite you to walk in the freedom already secured for you. Trust Me with every step, even the ones that feel uncertain. Your healing is not dependent on your efforts, but on My life expressed through your willing heart.
Turn away from the patterns of the world that feed the illness of your soul. Do not remain in what poisons your peace. You have been called into light, not to dwell in darkness. Let Me guide you out of the shadows. In Me is a peace that surpasses understanding. In Me is life that restores what was broken.
You do not need to understand every detail. Your part is to believe Me and walk with Me. I make your feet steady. I am not a distant God but the One who makes My home within you. When I lead you to leave behind the old, it is always to bring you into the new. Trust Me with the process. Trust Me with the pace. Trust Me with the pain. I am not only the One who heals, I am healing itself living in you.
Come, yield. Rest in Me. Let Me be your wholeness today.

Real-Life Analogy
Picture a houseplant set on a windowsill after months of neglect. The soil was dry, the leaves wilted. But with regular watering and consistent sunlight, that plant doesn't just survive, it begins to thrive. Each day, it soaks in what it needs without rushing the process.
In the same way, we flourish when we stay in the light and let the life of Christ nourish us from within. We do not force our healing. We trust the One who tends us. Today, if there’s an area of weariness or brokenness, pause and say to Him, “Lord, I trust You to bring Your life and wholeness into this part of me. I yield to Your care.” Then walk forward in obedience, trusting His Spirit will do in you what you cannot do for yourself.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that I am not alone in the journey toward wholeness. You are the One who heals, and You have made Your home within me. I trust You with what I cannot fix. I trust You to bring restoration in Your way, in Your time. You are not distant, and You have not forgotten me. I walk today in light, leaving behind the places that once held me in sickness. I rest in the peace that You have already given. Thank You for being my healing and my hope.
