Today’s reflection from Witness Lee brings us to the powerful moment of Pentecost, where Peter, freshly filled with the Holy Spirit, boldly spoke of Christ. His words were not mere recollections of past events—they carried the weight and life of the risen Jesus. He didn’t simply talk about Christ; he spoke forth Christ, and something eternal happened in that moment.
Peter’s message pierced the hearts of thousands, not because it was eloquent, but because it was infused with Christ Himself. The One he proclaimed—the crucified, risen, ascended Jesus—was now being manifested through his very words. As a result, three thousand souls were saved and baptized, and the church in Jerusalem was born.
This devotional reminds us that when Christ is truly spoken, He is truly propagated. Speaking Christ is not about delivering a theological lecture—it is about releasing His life into the world. The church, then, is the living result of Christ being spoken and received. Every time we yield to the Spirit and speak of our Lord—not from obligation but from union—His life multiplies in others. The propagation of Christ is not our project; it is His expression through us.
✍🏼 Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
When Peter opened his mouth, I opened hearts. He yielded to My prompting and proclaimed the risen Christ, not from memory but from union. I had clothed him with power, but it was not power to perform—it was power to express My Son. And through that yielded voice, Christ was spoken and Christ was received.
I dwell in you for this same purpose—not merely to inform, but to express. When you speak from your oneness with Me, it is not just words that pass through your lips—it is life. Life that convicts. Life that awakens. Life that gathers others into Christ. This is the mystery: that as you abide, I proclaim. As you rest, I reveal. You don’t need to produce an outcome. You simply yield to Me and speak My Son.
Three thousand did not respond to Peter—they responded to Christ. The church did not begin with a strategy but with surrender. This is how I move: through hearts ignited by Christ and mouths unashamed to proclaim Him. Speak Him, and I will multiply Him. Let the life you carry flow like breath.
You are not trying to spread a message—you are bearing a Person. And when I am spoken, I am seen. When I am seen, I am believed. And when I am believed, I am received. This is the way of the church: Christ, expressed through you, forming My Body on earth.

🪞Real-Life Analogy
It’s like lighting a candle from another that’s already burning. The flame doesn’t diminish from the first—it multiplies. One light kindles another, and soon the room is filled with brightness. Speaking Christ is like passing the flame: the life you carry is not reduced—it is reproduced.
🙏🏼 Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that I don’t have to produce anything for You—I simply get to express Christ. You have placed His life in me, and His voice in me is Your voice through me. I rest in the truth that speaking Christ is not a task, but a participation in Your divine life. Today, I rejoice that Your Son is being formed and multiplied in others as I speak from union with Him. Thank You that the church is not built by effort but by the overflow of Christ through yielded hearts.
