Speaking According to a Vision
Even before the final chapter, the vision is worth sharing—because God’s Word is always moving toward fulfillment.

Today’s devotional by Witness Lee invites us into the tension of waiting. It reveals the remarkable faith of Joseph, who dared to interpret the dreams of others with boldness and clarity—even while his own dreams remained unfulfilled. His story whispers a powerful truth: vision doesn’t require fulfillment in order to be true.
When Joseph was thrown into prison, years had passed since he had first dreamed of greatness. His own brothers had hated him for it. His circumstances seemed to mock those dreams. And yet, when his fellow prisoners came to him with their own dreams, Joseph responded not with bitterness, but with confidence—not in himself, but in God’s ability to interpret and reveal.
The devotional challenges us to do the same. We are encouraged to live and speak out of the vision God has given us, even when we’ve not yet seen it manifest. Vision is not disqualified by delay. We can, and should, continue to bless others from the well of God’s revelation, even when our personal story remains incomplete. The calling remains: speak according to the vision, not just the fulfillment.
Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I have given you a vision, and I am faithful to bring it to completion. Though it may tarry, wait for it, for it will surely come and not delay. My purposes stand, and no delay or detour can change the course I have set. The vision is not of your own making; it is what I have revealed by My Spirit.
You are called to speak, even when the fruit has not yet ripened. Do not grow weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap. Like Joseph, hold fast to what I’ve shown you. Encourage others while you wait. Interpret their dreams with confidence in Me, for interpretation belongs to Me. What I began in you I will also finish until the day of Christ.
Your boldness does not rest in what you’ve seen fulfilled, but in the One who has spoken. Fix your eyes on things above, not on what is delayed below. Speak not out of experience alone, but out of revelation. For My Word will not return to Me void, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Real-Life Analogy
You’ve probably had moments when you recommended a great book or movie to a friend—even though you hadn’t finished it yourself. Maybe you were only halfway through, but what you had seen so far was so beautiful, so promising, that you couldn’t help but tell someone about it. You didn’t wait for the final scene to know it was worth sharing. That’s what it’s like to speak from vision. Even if you’re still in the middle of the story, what God has shown you is already worth passing on. His Word doesn’t need a finished chapter to be trustworthy—it just needs to be received and shared.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You for giving me a vision that is rooted in Your faithfulness and not my timeline. I rest in the certainty that what You have spoken will be fulfilled in Your perfect time. While I wait, I trust You to speak through me—to encourage, to build up, to interpret, even when my own fulfillment seems distant. I rejoice that I am not called to speak from what I’ve earned, but from what You’ve revealed. Today, I speak according to vision, not circumstance, and I bless others with the truth that has already been sealed in heaven.
