Heaven’s Resources Are Yours
When plugged into the Source, we stop worrying about how much charge we have left — we draw from what never runs out.

T. Austin-Sparks draws us into the mystery of our union with Christ by pointing us to Jacob’s ladder — a connection between heaven and earth. Jesus, he reminds us, is the true and living ladder, the Son of Man upon whom heaven is opened, and angels ascend and descend. Through this living connection, Jesus was — and still is — both fully present on earth and yet always in perfect union with heaven. His source of power, wisdom, and life never came from within this world’s corrupted systems but from the incorruptible resources of His heavenly home.
And here’s the wonder: in Christ, we too have been united to this same reality. We now live, move, and serve not according to what we can muster from within ourselves, but out of His divine supply. These resources are not fragile, not earthly, not limited by emotion or intellect — they are heavenly, inexhaustible, incorruptible. In union with Christ, we no longer live “on our own charges,” but with God’s own life backing His commission.
To recognize this is to be done with striving. We are no longer trying to serve God with what is ours, but resting in the power of what is His — and always available. His presence on earth was not a performance for the Father but an expression from the Father. And so it is with us.
Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
You are joined to Me — spirit to Spirit — and because you are in Christ, you are seated with Him in the heavenly places. Your life is hidden with Christ in God. I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. I have given you all things that pertain to life and godliness through your knowledge of My Son.
Draw not from the well of your own ability, for that well runs dry. Instead, draw from Me — the fountain that never ceases. I have made you a partaker of the divine nature, so that you no longer live by effort but by abiding. Your sufficiency is from Me. My grace is sufficient. My power is made perfect in what the world would call weakness.
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now gives life to your mortal body. I have not called you to produce; I have called you to participate — and My resources are without end. You live in union with the One in whom heaven and earth meet. And as you abide in Him, you draw upon a life that cannot be shaken.

Real-Life Analogy
You’ve probably tried to use your phone with just 1% battery. You dim the screen, close background apps, and hope it lasts — but you’re living in constant tension. Now picture plugging it in — fully connected to the wall outlet. The battery icon shifts to green, and the anxiety disappears. You’re no longer operating from scarcity, but supply. That’s what union with Christ is like: not scraping by in self-effort, but living “plugged in” to a Source that never depletes.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, I trust the life You've placed in me — the life of Christ, not my own. I thank You that I don’t operate from a depleted place, but from Your eternal fullness. No moment today requires something You haven’t already provided. Thank You that my spirit is joined to Yours, and Your divine resources are not distant or abstract, but present and accessible. I rejoice that You didn’t send me out alone — You dwell in me. And You are enough.
