Get a Move On
Abiding becomes instinct, like fingers guided by unseen rhythm.

Oswald Chambers reminds us that abiding in Christ is not something we schedule around—it is the state we are invited to live in. His message dismantles the false idea that communion with God must be carefully protected from the bustle of daily life. Jesus Himself remained perfectly united with the Father in every situation—not by escaping His reality, but by surrendering to it.
Chambers doesn’t let us off the hook with good intentions. He calls us to act now: not after the next crisis, not once the house is quiet, not when the to-do list is done. Abiding begins in the present, even if at first it requires intentionality and effort. Eventually, it becomes a seamless rhythm—like breathing. The Spirit of Christ already lives in us; now we are to bring our thoughts, decisions, and daily flow into agreement with Him.
To "remain in Me" isn’t just a spiritual phrase—it’s a call to yield every dimension of life, even the mental and mundane, to the indwelling Christ. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Get a move on.
📓 Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I am not far off, waiting for you to climb toward Me through silence and seclusion. I dwell within you now. Your communion with Me is not fragile—it is secured by My finished work, not your flawless routine.
You think abiding means withdrawing from life’s noise, but I invite you to remain in Me precisely where you are. In your conversations, your decisions, your interruptions—I am there, whispering peace. Bring your thoughts to Me—not once they settle, but as they swirl. Yield them. I take what is anxious and train it to rest. I take what is self-focused and draw it into the joy of surrender.
Jesus walked the dust of the earth with a serenity untouched by circumstance. That same life is in you now. Let your thoughts find their home in Me. You do not have to wait until the kitchen is clean or the inbox is empty. You have access now.
Abide in Me—not after you resolve the chaos, but in the midst of it. That is where I am shaping you into the image of My Son. And as you keep saying yes to this moment, you will discover that abiding is no longer effort—it is instinct.
Let My life in you become the most natural thing about you.

🧺 Real-Life Analogy
It’s like learning to type without looking at the keys. At first, it takes focus, intention, and correction. But over time, your fingers just know. They move with muscle memory. So it is with abiding. In the beginning, you may have to pause and redirect your thoughts, but with practice, your soul begins to rest in Christ instinctively—no matter where your hands are placed.
🙏🏼 Prayer of Confidence
Father, I thank You that abiding is not a destination I must find, but a reality I now live in through Christ. You have placed Your Spirit within me, and every moment is now holy ground. I rejoice that I am not dependent on perfect circumstances to experience Your nearness. You are here—in the movement, in the noise, in the now. I rest in Your presence, confident that my thoughts are being made new as I choose to remain in You.
