Complete In Him, Walking As Worship
Complete in Jesus, we walk in the light of His life

Colossians says we are complete in Him. Today’s reading reminds us that this is not theory. When we walk in Jesus, ordinary steps become worship. The question shifts from is this move right or wrong, to will this please God as one who is already complete in Jesus. That shift replaces tightrope fear with grateful fellowship.
The writer also helps us keep our footing. Walking only for Christ can slip into a servant mindset that forgets we are seated with a risen Lord. Walking in Jesus is the province of faith. It starts from union, not from distance. We live from the love that raised us up together and seated us with Him in the heavenlies. From that seat, service becomes happy and acceptable.
This is deeply practical. In Jesus, you are not scrambling for enough. You are sharing from fullness. Decisions are no longer auditions for acceptance. They are opportunities to express the life you already have in the Son. That is why every act can become worship, dishes and spreadsheets and school pickups included.
Thank you to the anonymous voice preserved in “Crumbs for the Lord’s Little Ones” for lifting our eyes. We can stop counting our steps to prove ourselves. We can start walking as those who belong, holy and humble, because Jesus is our completeness and our life.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I have made you complete in My Son. In Him the fullness of Deity dwells, and you have fullness in Him. As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith with thanksgiving. I raised you up together with Him and seated you with Him in the heavenly places. I blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the Messiah.
Offer your body to Me as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is your reasonable worship. Set your mind on things above where Christ is. Let the peace of the Messiah rule in your heart. Let His word dwell in you richly. Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him.
You have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. The life you now live in the flesh you live by faith in the Son of God who loved you and gave Himself for you. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. I am at work in you, both to will and to do for My good pleasure. The one who calls you is faithful. I will surely do it.
Real-Life Analogy
Think about switching on a room’s overhead light. In the dark you shuffle and second guess every step. When the light comes on, the same steps are simple and steady. You are not walking better by trying harder. You are walking differently because you are in the light.
Life in Jesus works like that. His Spirit in you is the light that makes each step worship. When you face a decision about a purchase or a tough email, you might say, Lord, I trust You to live Your wisdom through me in this choice. Be the clarity in my thoughts and the kindness in my words. Then make the call, answer plainly, and let the Holy Spirit express the life of Jesus through your tone and timing.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that in Jesus I am complete. Thank You that I am raised with Him and seated with Him. I affirm that every spiritual blessing is already mine in the Messiah. Today I walk in Christ, not to gain Your favor, but because I already have it. I receive the peace of Jesus ruling in my heart. I welcome His word richly within me. I rejoice that my ordinary steps are worship as His life is expressed through me. In the name of Jesus I give thanks. Amen.
