You Don’t Need More—You Already Have Christ: Remembering What’s Already Yours in Him
Fruit isn’t produced by striving—it’s expressed by abiding.
We’ve all said it at some point:
“Lord, I need more patience.”
“More love.”
“More peace.”
But Scripture says something far more astonishing—and freeing.
You don’t need more.
You already have Christ.
And in Him, you have everything.
Galatians 5:22–23 tells us that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are the fruit of the Spirit. That means they’re not produced by us—they’re expressed through us as we walk by the Spirit.
Yet many of us suffer from what could be called spiritual amnesia. We forget who we really are in Christ. We forget what we already have. And so, like someone with a $20 bill forgotten in their coat pocket, we walk around thinking we’re broke—when in fact, we’re already abundantly supplied.
You don’t need more spiritual blessings.
You need to remember where they come from—and yield.
Ephesians 1:3 says you’ve already been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. 2 Peter 1:3 says His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness. The problem is not lack. It’s dependence. We’ve been depending on our flesh to produce what only the Spirit can.
🕊 Journal Entry in the Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
You are not lacking.
You are not empty.
You are not without.
Everything I have is yours in Christ.
Stop striving.
Start trusting.
Let Me do what only I can do in you and through you.

Prayer of Confidence
Father, I don’t need to ask for more.
You’ve already given me everything in Your Son.
So I trust—not to receive—but to release.
Christ in me is already patient, already kind, already full of joy.
I yield to Him. I rest in Him. I walk by the Spirit.
And I rejoice that I lack nothing.
