Yes, Father, This Is Your Way

Saying yes to the Father’s way in ordinary minutes

Some days it is easy to praise God when doors open and plans line up. Other days bring misunderstanding, criticism, or a quiet no that stings. Today’s reading from eManna, drawn from Witness Lee, points us to the posture Jesus modeled in Matthew 11. Cities resisted His ministry, yet He lifted His voice and said yes to the Father. He acknowledged the Father’s wisdom and praised His will. That is not resignation. That is trust from the heart of a Son who knows His Father.

This is where the life of abiding in Christ meets real life. Jesus did not chase visible success. He rested in the Father’s knowing. He let the Father’s purpose, not public approval, define the day. That same Spirit leads us to acknowledge the Father in our own hard places. Not as isolated heroes, but as members of His people being formed together in the Son.

When rejection or opposition comes, the old self wants to defend, explain, or retreat. The Spirit redirects our gaze to the Father’s goodness and to Jesus enthroned. He reminds us that we have been given every spiritual blessing in Christ, and that our life is hidden with Jesus in God. As we yield to Him, praise rises before relief arrives. That praise is not denial. It is agreement with the Father’s wise care.

Here is the fruit. Instead of chasing results, we honor the Father in the moment in front of us. We bless those who misunderstand us. We answer with clarity and kindness. We carry on with steady hands. This is not self-management. It is Jesus expressing His life through us. Thank you, Witness Lee, for calling us to that grateful acknowledgment, yes, Father, this is Your way.

Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture

I turn your eyes to the Father, as the Son rejoiced in Him. When noise rises against you, acknowledge His wisdom. I work in you to will and to do His good pleasure. I have seated you with the risen Jesus, and your life is hidden with Him in Me. Count yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Remain in My Son, draw from His life, and the fruit will come because the life is already yours.

I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the Beloved. I write My will on your heart. Present yourself to Me, and I renew your mind so that you discern what pleases Me. I weave what others intend for harm into good that conforms you to the image of My Son. I set you as My workmanship within a people, so that together you display His Name with quiet courage.

In the difficult hour entrust your soul to your faithful Creator. Give thanks in all circumstances. There remains a rest for My people. Enter it. Fix your gaze not on the seen, but on Me. As you behold the Lord’s glory, I transform you from glory to glory. I complete what I began, and I make the fragrance of Jesus evident through you in ordinary minutes.

Real-Life Analogy

Think of your phone’s auto-brightness. Step into bright sun, the screen adjusts. Walk into a dim hallway, it shifts again. You do not press harder on the glass. The sensor reads the light and calibrates the display so you can see clearly. In the same way, the Holy Spirit within recalibrates your inner posture when circumstances change. You are not forcing yourself into a new mood. He is bringing your response into harmony with the Father’s will so that Jesus is seen.

A simple practice, when a disappointing message lands in your inbox, pause the reply long enough to turn inward to the Lord who lives in you and say, Lord, I trust You to express Your patience and truth in me as I answer this note, steady my words for Your honor. Then write the response. Not to win, but to witness to His character.

Prayer of Confidence

Father, thank You that Your will is wise and good. Thank You for placing me in Jesus and placing Your Spirit in me. In Him I already have every spiritual blessing. Today I acknowledge Your way in my circumstances. I count myself alive to You in Jesus. I entrust my reputation, my timing, and my outcomes to Your care. As I move through conversations and tasks, I welcome the Spirit’s expression of the life of Your Son through me. I rest in Your faithful love.
