Matthew 28:20 reads, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you, and surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age. A. B. Simpson reminds us that Jesus keeps that promise in the most down to earth way. He is with us in all the days. Not only on Sundays and mountaintops, but in errands, in long meetings, in quiet evenings at home.
I am thankful for how Simpson frames it. The Lord arrives with fresh mercy each morning. Some days we sense His nearness quickly. Other days feel ordinary, then Scripture warms our hearts and we realize, it is the Lord who has been walking with us.
This promise does not push us into performance. It pulls us into fellowship. Jesus is not a distant idea. He is a present Savior who delights to make Himself known by the Holy Spirit. He stays, He helps, He speaks peace, He carries us into simple obedience right where we are.
So, here is the invitation for today. Receive your day as a gift already filled with His presence. Expect companionship on the road you must walk. Let the Holy Spirit make the ordinary holy, one step at a time. Thank you, A. B. Simpson, for the gentle nudge to notice Jesus in all the days.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I am with you in every kind of day. Morning light, busy noon, quiet night, I do not leave you as an orphan. I am with you forever. When your path runs through waters, I am there. When you feel the heat of trouble, you are not consumed. Be strong and courageous, for I am the Lord your God and I am with you wherever you go.
I dwell in you. Christ in you is the hope of glory. You have died with Him, and you live to God in Him. The life you now live in the body, you live by faith in the Son of God. Walk by the Spirit. Abide in Me, and you will bear fruit in season. I strengthen you with power in your inner being so that Jesus dwells in your heart through faith and you know His love.
I keep you in peace as your mind is set on Me. I rejoice over you. I guide you with My word. I never leave you nor forsake you. Even when you do not feel Me near, I am faithful. I rejoice to make My presence known as you turn your attention to Me and give thanks.

Real-Life Analogy
Think about a phone with turn by turn navigation. You may drive familiar streets, yet the soft voice keeps you company, offering gentle prompts at just the right moment. The Holy Spirit does this in a richer way. He is not a tool you check only when lost. He is the indwelling Presence who travels with you through every hour, quietly guiding, correcting, and encouraging as you go.
Try this today. Before you step into your next task, pause for a few seconds and simply say, Lord, I trust You to walk with me into this, and to make me aware of Your nearness as You work through me. Then carry on, expecting calm words, patient tone, and steady choices that fit the moment.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that Jesus is with me in all the days. Thank You for the Spirit who lives in me and keeps me. I receive this day as a place of fellowship with You. Your peace guards my heart. Your word lights my path. Lord, I trust You to express Your life through me in every conversation and chore, and to remind me often that I am not alone.
