Wisdom’s Song, Our Response

When wisdom plays, grace answers with a willing heart

Some hearts cheer when Jesus plays the flute of grace. Others stay still. Some soften when He sings a sober song about repentance. Others shrug. Today’s reading sets a gentle mirror in front of us. Jesus came as the wisdom of God and the power of God. He sat with tax collectors and ordinary people. He called both for joy in salvation and sorrow over sin. The invitation was clear. The response was mixed.

Witness Lee helps us notice that the Lord’s wisdom is vindicated by the way it changes people. Those who belong to Him learn when to rejoice and when to mourn. Not because they are trying to look spiritual, but because they are letting the Lord set the tempo of their hearts. He plays, and they respond. They are children of wisdom, not critics on the sidelines.

This is not about earning a place with God. It is about receiving the grace He has already set on the table in Jesus. When we cling to image, rights, or a controlled schedule, we often miss the music. When we turn and trust the Son, the Spirit tunes our inner life. Repentance is no longer a gloomy duty. Joy is no longer a performance. Both become a response to the Presence within.

This is also wonderfully corporate. Jesus is forming a people who answer Him together. We stand fast in the freedom He has given. We walk as one body, listening for His leading, and we justify His wisdom by agreeing with His works in our midst. Thank You, Witness Lee, for pointing us to the Lord’s wise way with tender clarity.

Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture

I draw your attention to Jesus, the wisdom of God and the power of God. I call you to discern the moment He sets before you. When He brings sorrow for sin, I grant godly grief that leads to life. When He brings the music of mercy, I fill you with rejoicing that matches heaven. I free you in the Son, and I steady you to stand in that liberty.

I remind you that you are united with the Messiah. Your life is in Him. His life is in you. You present yourself to Me, and I work in you to will and to do what delights Me. I anchor you in grace, not in self-management. I make you a living reply to His gospel, a child of wisdom who knows when to turn and when to dance.

I am gathering a people who respond together. I shape in you the humility to repent without shame and the gladness to rejoice without pride. I write My ways on your heart. I guide your steps in ordinary minutes. As you look to Jesus and trust Me within, I confirm His wise works through you, and I keep you in the freedom He purchased.

Real-Life Analogy

Think about a phone that gives two tones. One tone is a gentle melody that means a loved one is calling. The other is a low alert that signals an important reminder. You do not argue with the tones. You respond. You answer the call with joy. You adjust your plans when the reminder sounds. In a similar way, the Spirit of Jesus within cues our hearts. Sometimes He makes us aware that it is time to turn from a harmful pattern. Sometimes He nudges us to celebrate mercy already given. Our part is not to debate the tone, but to respond in trust.

A simple, specific moment, you notice a sharp word rising on your tongue. Instead of pushing it down by willpower, turn inward with confidence and say, Lord, I trust You to express Your wisdom in me now, give me the grace to own my fault and to speak truth with kindness. Then take the next honest step. Or when good news arrives, whisper, Lord, I trust You to rejoice in me and through me, let Your gratitude and praise flow as I share this with others. He sets the tone. You respond with Him.

Prayer of Confidence

Father, thank You that Jesus is my wisdom and my power. Thank You for freedom in the Son. Thank You for the Spirit within who leads me to repent when needed and to rejoice when mercy is bright. I gratefully receive what You have already provided. Today I stand fast in liberty, I present myself to You, and I trust You to make my life a true reply to the gospel. Let the works of Your wisdom be seen in ordinary minutes, for the honor of Jesus.
