Today’s reflection from Witness Lee draws our attention to the nature of the apostles’ fellowship—a fellowship that mirrors the unity of the Triune God. According to Acts 2:42 and 2 Corinthians 13:14, the early believers didn’t merely gather out of sentiment or routine. They joined together in shared teaching, prayer, communion, and life. But more than that, they let go of private agendas to participate in something far greater: God's divine purpose.

The fellowship of the apostles is not based on preferences, denominations, or rituals. It is built on shared life in Christ and openness to all who truly believe. It’s not defined by which method of baptism you received or whether you follow a specific group’s practices—it is defined by being in Christ and partaking in the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

So, how do we discern between authentic fellowship and sectarianism? The answer lies in this: true apostolic fellowship receives all genuine believers, regardless of background or tradition. Any group that excludes real believers over secondary issues is practicing something other than the fellowship of the apostles. The fellowship that God initiates draws together those who are willing to forsake their own interests for the sake of His common, divine purpose.

✍🏼 Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture

I have drawn you into a fellowship that is not built on sameness, but on shared life. You are not called to form barriers around your convictions—I have called you into the unity of My Spirit, the love of the Father, and the grace that flows from the Son.

You do not belong to a tribe, but to Me. I did not redeem you to form factions—I redeemed you to be one Body, joined together in the fellowship that bears My likeness. This fellowship is not yours to define; it is Mine to express through those who yield their private agendas and surrender to My purpose.

I receive every believer whom I have sealed. The water that touched their skin does not compare to the blood that cleansed their hearts. I receive those baptized in streams, in sanctuaries, or in solitude—because I have baptized them into Myself.

Do not measure others by the forms they follow. Instead, discern whether My life is present. Those who are Mine bear My Spirit. Those who are Mine love My Body. And you—yes, you—are invited to be a vessel of My welcoming grace.

Let your fellowship be open. Let it reflect My heart. Lay down what separates, and step into the flow of what unites. I have brought you into a communion that begins with Me and extends to every true believer I call My own.

🧺 Real-Life Analogy

It’s like sitting at a long dinner table where the invitation wasn’t based on how you dressed or which door you entered—it was based on who the Host is. As you take your seat, you notice others arriving from all walks of life, yet there’s no pecking order—only shared joy. The meal is not yours to portion out, but His to serve. And everyone He invites belongs.

🙏🏼 Prayer of Confidence

Father, thank You for drawing me into a fellowship that reflects Your heart—wide, welcoming, and centered in Christ. I rejoice that I do not need to evaluate others based on human traditions but can receive all who are Yours as my brothers and sisters. I rest today in the fellowship You have established and delight in being part of something far greater than myself: the communion of saints in the Spirit of unity and peace.
