Today’s reflection from Miles Stanford reminds us of the unshakeable foundation of our acceptance before God: Christ Himself. The Father’s satisfaction with us is not rooted in our progress, our emotions, or our performance—it is rooted entirely in His Son. This was the Father’s design from the beginning: to place us in Christ, so that His perfect life, His finished work, and His permanent standing would be credited to us.

The old lie that we must somehow measure up or maintain our own righteousness persists in the minds of many believers. But God never intended for us to live by the unreliable standard of our own effort. The enemy targets this very point—our link to God—by tempting us to evaluate our worth based on our behavior or feelings. But Scripture makes it clear: we were once alienated, but now we are reconciled. We were dead, but now we are alive together with Him. We were unclean, but now we are holy, unblamable, and unreprovable in His sight.

The truth that silences every accusation is this: we are not on probation. Christ is not being re-evaluated. And because our life is hidden in Him, our standing before the Father is secure. We do not trust in the flesh—our confidence is Christ, and Christ alone.

✍🏼 Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture

I do not measure you by what you feel.
I do not assess you by how well you’ve performed.
I see you in My Son. That is your unchanging position, and it brings Me joy.

Once you were far away, separated by sin and shame. But now, I have brought you near through the blood of Christ. You are no longer an outsider trying to earn My favor—you are reconciled, embraced, and forever accepted. You are not on trial. The verdict has already been rendered: righteous in Christ.

Stop searching your heart for reasons to believe I am satisfied with you. Look instead to the cross and the empty tomb. My Son is the only basis for My satisfaction, and He has met every condition. He has made peace, borne the judgment, and brought you into eternal union with Me.

So lay down the burden of proving yourself. Abide in what is already true. I have made you holy, blameless, and beyond reproach—not someday, but now. This is not because of what you do, but because of who you are in Him. And this satisfaction is not partial or temporary—it is complete and guaranteed.

🧺 Real-Life Analogy

It’s like receiving a non-returnable, lifetime-guaranteed item that has already passed every inspection. You don’t have to keep checking the receipt or wondering if it’s still valid. The deal is sealed, and it can never be revoked. That’s what it’s like to be in Christ—you’ve already been approved, not by store credit, but by the full payment of His life.

🙏🏼 Prayer of Confidence

Father, I thank You that I never need to wonder where I stand with You. My life is hidden with Christ in You, and in Him, I am already holy, already accepted, already enough. I rest in the truth that You are fully satisfied—not because of me, but because of Christ in me. I rejoice that I no longer have to prove myself. You have placed me in the One who is perfect, and in Him, I remain. Thank You that this satisfaction is guaranteed, eternal, and secure.
