Position Given, Possession Growing
The key turns, the home is already yours, and each room is discovered in time.

We begin where grace begins, with what Jesus has already accomplished and where He has already placed us in Himself. Miles Stanford reminds us that our secure position in the risen Lord is settled, then our lived condition gradually comes into harmony with that gift. Truth enters the mind, settles into the heart, then shows up in the steps we take.
I hear the kindness in this, not pressure. The Spirit points to a settled reality in Jesus, then walks us forward at a pace soaked in mercy. We are not climbing toward acceptance, we are exploring the riches of a life already given. Our hungers quiet as we discover that union comes first, then expression.
Stanford borrows voices from J. B. Stoney and T. Austin-Sparks to trace the journey. In Jesus, we are already raised, already seated, already made alive. Over time, we grow to possess, by faith, what is already ours by grace. The life is complete in its quality and source, yet we are learning its ways, its rhythm, its freedom.
Read this as a family story, not a private ladder. In corporate union with Jesus, we share the blessings that belong to His Body. Together we learn to walk as those who are rooted and built up in Him. I am grateful for Stanford’s steady pen that turns our eyes to Jesus, and for how this vision invites rest and responsive trust rather than strain.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I hold you because you are held in Jesus. I began this good work in you, and I will carry it forward. You were crucified with Him, you live in Him, and My life is your life now. I united you with the Son in His death and in His rising. You are alive to God, you are seated with Him, you are blessed with every spiritual blessing.
Walk with Me in what is already true. As you receive Jesus the Lord, keep walking in Him, rooted and built up, established in faith. Present yourself to Me, and I will express His life through your ordinary day. I am forming in you what I have already declared over you. From one degree to another, I reveal the Lord’s glory in you.
Your position is secure, your possession will grow. When you notice the gap between where you stand in heaven and how you walk on earth, do not turn to self-effort. Abide in Me. Remain in My love. I will bear fruit through you that remains. I sanctify you wholly, spirit, soul, and body, and I am faithful.
Fix your heart on the Son above where your true life is hidden. Offer your body as a living sacrifice, and walk by the Spirit. I supply everything required for life and godliness. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. I fulfill the righteous requirement of the law in you as you walk with Me. Keep in step with Me. I will do it.
Real-Life Analogy
Think of receiving the keys to a fully furnished home. On day one, the home is already yours, stocked and ready. Yet you do not open every cabinet or learn every light switch at once. You settle in. Room by room you discover what has been there from the start. You are not earning the house, you are exploring it.
In the same way, the indwelling Spirit of Jesus has given you a finished home in Him. Today, yield to Him in one small place where you notice tension. For example, when a scheduling conflict lands on your desk at the office, pause inside and say, Lord, I entrust this situation to You, express Your patience and clarity through me as I speak with my team. Then make the call with a calm tone, invite the other person to a shared solution, and let His gentleness set the temperature of the room. That is not a checklist, it is participation in the life you already possess.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that in Jesus I am made alive, forgiven, and secure. Thank You that You have joined me to His death and rising, and that Your Spirit dwells in me. I agree with what You say is true. I am rooted and built up in Your Son. I have every spiritual blessing in Him. Today I walk in what You have given, resting in Your sufficiency. Form in my steps what You have already declared over my life. I rejoice that You will do it.
