One Spirit: The Indwelling Life of God in Me
Just like the light is already wired in, God's Life is already within—ready to shine the moment we yield.

There is no deeper union than the one we have with Christ through the Spirit. T. Austin-Sparks invites us to peer through the window of revelation and see that our connection with God is not built on human effort or natural capacity—it is entirely spiritual. This means it exists at the core of our identity, deeper than intellect, emotion, or behavior. We are, by new birth, one spirit with the Lord.
This isn’t just poetic—it’s positional and practical. We have been given His very Life. And from that Life, God builds everything. He doesn’t require us to live for Him from our strength, wisdom, or resolve. Rather, He places His own Life within us and then lives through us. All His purposes, hopes, and intentions for us rest not on our striving, but on the reality of Christ in us.
The new birth isn’t just a clean slate—it’s a divine union. We’re not simply forgiven; we are fused with the eternal. His Spirit and our spirit are one, and this spiritual union is the only basis from which we can experience true fellowship, transformation, and fruitfulness.
If we try to live the Christian life from our natural life, we will wear out. But if we yield to the Spirit within, we’ll discover that everything God wants to do—He already placed the means for it inside us: His Life. The Christian life is not lived for God—it is lived by God through those who belong to Him.
🖊️ Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit:
You are not alone. I have united Myself with you in spirit—so deeply that nothing can divide us. This is not merely a metaphor; this is reality. I do not hover above you—I indwell you. I did not merely touch your life—I gave you Mine.
You were born again not into duty but into union. My Life in you is the source of everything I call you into. My hope is not in your best effort, but in My own fullness. I have not left you to figure things out on your own—I am the Way within you.
Let Me live through you. The patience you long for, the wisdom you desire, the courage you seek—they are not distant ideals, they are the natural fruit of My Life expressing itself through your yielded spirit. Do not reach outward in anxiety. Look inward in trust. You possess eternal Life because you possess Me, and I am sufficient for all things.
Even now, as you read, I am present—not merely beside you, but one spirit with you. You can rest from striving and abide in Me, knowing that everything necessary for godliness, love, and peace has already been provided within.

🪄 Real-Life Analogy:
It’s like flipping a light switch. The power source is already wired inside the walls, invisible but present. The room may be dark, but the electricity is waiting. One simple act—resting your finger on the switch—and the light fills the room, not by your strength, but by a power already in place.
So it is with Jesus’ Life in you. You don’t generate light—you yield to it. When you sense irritation rising, or feel unsure of what to say, or find yourself overwhelmed by the weight of a decision, pause and remember: the power is not in your natural self. Rest your trust on God within. Say, “Lord, I trust You to respond through me in this moment.” In a conversation that could turn tense, I will be your gentleness. In confusion, He will be your peace. The Life is His—given fully to you.
🙏 Prayer of Confidence:
Father, I thank You that You placed Your very Life within me, not just as a resource but as a Person—Christ in me. You didn’t leave me to navigate life with borrowed energy, but joined Yourself to me in spirit. I rest today in this union. I celebrate that Your hope is not in my strength, but in Your indwelling presence. I trust You to express Your Life through me in every moment, knowing I lack nothing in You.
