God’s Will Made Visible
Just as light reveals the room, Jesus reveals the heart of God’s will.

E. Stanley Jones points us to a radiant truth: the will of God is not some cryptic decree to be decoded—it is a Person. Jesus Christ is the mystery of God’s will made visible, tangible, and knowable. He is not a philosophical puzzle or a distant ideal, but a living demonstration of God’s heart. Jesus is God’s will embodied in human life—loving, healing, correcting, forgiving, and ultimately, laying Himself down.
Jones draws our eyes to Ephesians 1:9, where Paul writes that God has made known the mystery of His will in all wisdom and insight. This wisdom is not confined to religious categories. It is practical, comprehensive, and transformative. It touches how we think, how we respond, how we relate, and how we live each moment. All true wisdom—every insight that leads to flourishing—flows from understanding Jesus Christ.
Rather than waiting for a mystical voice or lightning-bolt revelation, Jones gently reminds us that we discover the will of God by meditating on the life of Christ as revealed in Scripture. As we ponder who Jesus is and what He did, the fog of uncertainty clears, and we begin to see: God's will is love, expressed in grace, and available through union with His Son.
The more we reflect on Jesus, the more the mystery becomes a marvel. What begins as sight deepens into insight. We are not merely inspired—we are transformed, as deeper meaning is revealed and wider horizons appear. Jesus does not only inform us of God's will; He is God's will. And as we behold Him, we find not just knowledge—but wisdom that teaches us how to be.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
My child, I have not hidden My will from you behind veils of riddles or requirements. I have unfolded it in plain view, in the face of My Son. He is the image of the invisible God, the radiance of My glory, the exact imprint of My nature. If you have seen Him, you have seen Me. He is not simply a messenger of My will—He is My will, walking among you.
You once wandered in darkness, searching for meaning, longing for direction. But now, in Christ, you see the path clearly. The Word became flesh and dwelled among you so that you would no longer guess at who I am or what I desire. You are not left to read signs or strain to hear voices from the sky—I have spoken in My Son, and He is still speaking to your heart by My Spirit.
As you look to Him, you are transformed. Not conformed to this world’s confusion, but renewed in the spirit of your mind. You are learning to live with My wisdom—to walk with insight, not impulse. Christ in you is wisdom unfolding, revelation deepening, vision widening. My will is not a burden to bear, but a Person to know and a life to trust.
So fix your eyes on Jesus. Let the mystery become intimacy. Let the knowledge become worship. Let the insight become obedience. And in Him, find that My will is good, acceptable, and perfect—for it is not something you must achieve, but Someone you already have.

Real-Life Analogy
It’s like standing in a sunlit room after walking in from a foggy street. At first, your eyes squint, unsure of the light. But as they adjust, the details emerge—a chair in the corner, a cup on the table, a window overlooking the garden. What was once murky becomes clear simply by standing in the light long enough.
In the same way, God’s will becomes clear not through frantic searching, but through quiet abiding in the presence of Jesus. As you spend time meditating on Him—who He is, how He lived, what He said—your spiritual vision sharpens. You begin to respond to life with His wisdom, not yours.
Today, if you are facing a decision, a relationship strain, or even just the ordinary pace of daily life, pause. Let His light adjust your sight. Then say, “Lord, I trust You to live Your wisdom through me in this moment.” It might look like listening instead of reacting, offering grace instead of judgment, or simply slowing down to speak gently. This is how the mystery of His will becomes your daily way of living.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, I praise You that Your will is not a formula to solve but a Person to know. Thank You for revealing Your heart in the face of Jesus Christ. You have not left me wandering, but have planted me firmly in Your Son, who is my wisdom, my righteousness, and my peace. I rest in the knowing that I don’t need to grasp for answers—I have Jesus, and in Him, all things hold together. Let today unfold not by striving, but by trusting You to express Your wisdom through me. I rejoice that I live in Your will, for I live in Christ. Amen.
