Loved Into Blamelessness

Just as water flows freely under the faucet sensor, grace flows freely when we remain in the Beloved.

E. Stanley Jones invites us to rest in the beautiful truth that being “holy and blameless” is something we are before God—not before men. People only see in part and often misjudge, but God sees the whole of us—our motives, our struggles, and our union with His Son. The holiness and blamelessness described here are not about external perfection but about standing in love before the One who knows us entirely.

Jesus calls us to perfection—not a flawlessness of performance but a fullness of love. This love isn’t measured by flawless actions but by a yielded heart that chooses to love even when it’s not returned. Just as God loves His enemies and blesses both the evil and the good, we are called to mirror that kind of perfect love—not because we muster it up, but because we are in the Beloved, and His love flows through us.

Jones reminds us that it is in the Beloved—in Christ—that God pours out grace freely and fully. Outside of Christ, our reception of grace is limited—not because God withholds, but because we aren’t in a place to fully receive. Inside Christ, where we’ve been placed by faith, God gives with both hands. The emphasis is no longer on how we are performing but on whom we are united with.

Lastly, the path to becoming beloved is not by demanding affection but by choosing to love. The One who loved deeply—Jesus—is now the Beloved. In the same way, we don’t need to strive to be noticed or affirmed. We rest in the Beloved and become vessels of His love, and the fruit of being beloved will grow naturally from that union.

Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture

My child, you are not being examined by the world’s eyes today. I see you fully, and I call you holy and blameless—not because of your performance, but because of My Son in whom you dwell. The eyes of men are dim and distorted, but My eyes are clear and compassionate. I see you clothed in Christ, and in Him, you are safe to receive all that I long to give.

You do not need to present yourself as flawless. I do not ask you to perform, but to remain. Love is the mark I have placed on you—not as a demand, but as a gift. You love because you are loved. The perfection I call you to is not one of rigid achievement, but of openhearted love, even to those who wound and reject. This is the perfection of your Father, and it is already yours in Me.

You have been placed in the Beloved. That is not merely a position—it is your dwelling. In that union, I pour out My grace without reservation. There is no lack. I give with both hands because your heart is no longer your own—it is Mine, and I am love.

Don’t strain to be loved. Love. Let Me pour Myself through you. The fruit of being beloved will grow as naturally as branches bearing fruit from a living vine. Remain in My Son, and My love will remain in you.

Real-Life Analogy

Imagine standing in front of an automatic sensor faucet. As long as your hands are in the right position—under the sensor—the water flows freely and continuously. Move away, and it stops. The faucet isn’t stingy. It’s simply designed to release when you’re in the right place.

In the same way, God gives freely “in the Beloved.” He isn’t holding back. When we remain in Christ, in trust and rest, His grace flows without hindrance. We don’t earn it, we simply abide in the place where it’s always flowing.

So, when criticism comes today, or when someone misjudges your motives, yield inwardly to Me. Trust that your identity is “holy and blameless before Me in love.” You don’t need to defend yourself or strive to be understood. Simply say within, “Lord, I trust You to live Your life through me in this moment.” Let My love be your reply, and you’ll walk in the perfection of love, right where you are.

Prayer of Confidence

Father, I praise You for placing me in the Beloved. You’ve not only rescued me—you’ve welcomed me into Your very heart. I stand before You today, not in fear or shame, but in love. You see me fully and still call me holy and blameless in Christ.

I no longer need to earn love or strive to be understood. You have already declared who I am, and that is enough. Thank You for the grace that flows freely—not because I have done well, but because I am in the One who is well-pleasing to You. I trust You to express Your perfect love in and through me today.
