Living from the Heavenly Side

Like sunlight breaking through the clouds, our view from above changes how we see everything below.

The resurrection was glorious—but the ascension takes us further still. It isn’t just that Christ rose from the grave; it’s that He rose above all things. Scripture doesn’t just describe the empty tomb—it shows us Christ lifting His hands in blessing, departing not with fanfare, but with tenderness. That image—the quiet rise, the open hands, the final earthly gaze—grounds the truth that His ascension is not some distant event in theological memory. It’s a present and intimate reality for us now.

Because we are in Him, we’ve been raised too. Right now—this very moment—we are spiritually seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. This isn’t poetic imagery or future reward. It’s present-tense identity. We are not clawing our way toward heaven—we are already there in Him. This spiritual position radically shifts how we see our lives: trials look different from above. Temptation loses its pull when we know where we sit. Fear unravels when our mind rests where our spirit already is—in Christ.

To “ascend” is not to strive, but to surrender to the truth of our union. It’s to let the Spirit lift our inner gaze above the noise of earth. It’s to think and respond from heaven’s viewpoint. And from that place—seated with Christ—we’re empowered to see sin as already defeated, death as already overcome, and life as already secure.

This isn’t escapism. It’s realism. It’s looking at earth through heaven’s lens. Today, we live not from the ground up, but from the throne down.

📓 Personalized Journal Entry — Voice of the Holy Spirit:

Beloved, you are already home in Me. The heavens are not a distant hope—they are your current dwelling. I have raised you with My Son, and I have seated you beside Him. This is not a promise reserved for after death. This is your identity now.

Live from where you are seated. When you face confusion, look from above. When you are tempted, draw from where you sit. From there, sin has no dominion, fear has no grip, and Satan has no voice. Your citizenship is in heaven. Your life is hidden with Christ in Me.

Let your affections rise. Lift your eyes above the clutter of this passing world. You are not trying to get closer to Me—I am already in you, and you in Me. The ascended life is not performance—it is participation. As you yield to Me moment by moment, I reveal the view of heaven in the details of your life on earth.

Rest in your seat. Let your thoughts be framed by heaven. Let your responses flow from above. The world pulls downward, but I lift upward. I have placed you in Christ—and Christ in you—and no circumstance changes that.

🔑 Real-Life Analogy:

It’s like riding an elevator to the top floor of a skyscraper on a foggy day. At ground level, everything is dim and confusing—your view is clouded, your steps uncertain. But when you reach the top, the sunlight pierces through. You see the full horizon, and the fog is beneath you. Nothing has changed on the ground—but your perspective has changed everything.

In that same way, when you're tempted to react in frustration at work, or feel the heaviness of bad news, or sense anxiety creeping in—pause. Yield to the Spirit. Let Him lift your awareness to where you truly are seated. Say in your heart, “Lord, I trust You to live Your ascended life through me in this moment.” From that vantage point, you’ll walk in peace, speak with grace, and see everything more clearly.

🙏 Prayer of Confidence:

Father, I thank You that I am already raised with Christ and seated with Him in Your presence. I lack nothing. I’m not waiting for access to heaven—I’ve already been welcomed in. Today, I trust You to lift my eyes to where I truly dwell. I rest in my position in Christ. Let my thoughts, decisions, and interactions reflect that seated place of peace, victory, and union with You. You’ve already made the way. You’ve already brought me near. And You are enough for every moment today.
