Keys In Hand, Walk Right In

An open door, a ready welcome, and a quiet step into the Father’s presence.

We step into the Father’s presence by trusting that Jesus has already placed us there. Miles Stanford reminds us that the blood of Jesus opened the way, the veil is torn, and the door is not only unlocked, it is standing open. Entrance is not a prize for the spiritually elite, it is the present privilege of every believer who rests in the finished work of the Savior.

The boldness that Hebrews 10 speaks of is not swagger or self-assurance. It is the settled confidence that the Son has carried us in. What removed our sins removed the barrier. The new and living way is not a hallway to sprint through, it is a Person to abide in. We do not work our way into the Holiest. We wake up to where the Father has seated us in His Son.

When we fail, that standing does not wobble. Our conditions on earth fluctuate, but our position in Jesus is held steady by His obedience and intercession. We honor the Lord by drawing near in faith, not by hanging back in shame. The Father is pleased when we come through the Son with a clear conscience that has been sprinkled clean.

I am grateful for Stanford’s steady voice. He puts a hand on our shoulder and points us away from ourselves to Jesus. He keeps the focus on union, on abiding, on living from the place the Lord has already given, rather than striving to arrive at a place the Lord has already granted.

Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture

Child, I opened the way and I am the way. By My blood you have confidence to come into the Holiest. I seated you with Me, so come with a heart assured by what I finished. Draw near, not because your week was flawless, but because My offering is perfect and My priesthood is unending. I carry you. I keep you. I welcome you.

You stand in grace. You have peace with the Father through Me. You have access by faith, so use the access that is yours. Hold fast the confession of your hope without wavering, for I am faithful. Do not measure nearness by your feelings or by yesterday’s performance. Measure nearness by My cross, My resurrection, and where I placed you in Myself.

Set your mind on things above where your life is hidden with Me. Walk in newness of life, reckoning yourself dead to sin and alive to God. When you stumble, walk back into the light. I am your advocate. There is no condemnation in Me. I live in you. I will express My life through you as you yield to Me. Abide in Me. Approach with confidence. Remain with gratitude. I am your access and I am your life.

Real-Life Analogy

Think of a hotel key card that has already been activated at the front desk. You do not stand in the hallway trying to earn the right to enter. You place the card to the reader, the light turns green, and the door opens. The key was prepared for you. The room is yours. In the same way, Jesus has already activated your access. The Father is not waiting for you to perform, He is inviting you to enter because of the blood of His Son.

A simple practice for today, when shame or distraction presses in, place your hand on the doorframe of the next room you walk through and quietly say, Lord, I entrust this moment to You, live Your life in me as one who is already welcomed. Then step through the doorway as a small, physical reminder that you are moving in the access Jesus secured. If a tense conversation arises, pause at the doorway and say, Lord, I rely on You to speak through me with Your gentleness and truth, then walk in and let Him love the person in front of you through you.

Prayer of Confidence

Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus that gives me boldness to enter. Thank You for seating me with Your Son and giving me present access into Your presence. I acknowledge that my life is hidden with Jesus and that Your Spirit dwells in me. Today I receive the welcome You secured, and I move through this day in gratitude, free from condemnation, resting in the finished work of the cross and the living presence of Your Son in me. I rejoice that You hold me fast and delight to draw me near.
