In Me You Are Well and Whole
Just as insoles bring rest to weary feet, so union with Christ brings harmony to the whole self.

E. Stanley Jones beautifully reminds us that being “enriched in every way in Him” (1 Corinthians 1:5) includes not only our spirit and soul, but even our physical bodies. His imagery invites us to consider the body as a willing partner—one that responds in kind to the mindset and spirit of the person who inhabits it. When we live out of sync with Christ—gripped by fear, resentment, or constant striving—our bodies bear the consequence. But when we abide in Christ, aligned with His peace and joy, our bodies often respond with harmony and vitality.
Jones shares how a simple, yet Spirit-breathed phrase—“In Me you are well and whole”—became his resting place during a physical trial. The healing wasn’t from self-effort or positive thinking, but from remaining in the One who is our wholeness. Just as a body made for Christ is most at peace in Christ, so we discover that true well-being—spirit, soul, and body—flows from union, not exertion. Living from the inside out in Christ produces a kind of peace that not only stills the heart but often brings vitality to the frame that carries it.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit
My beloved, I dwell in you—and I am not distant from the concerns of your body. In Me you live and move and have your being. Your frame was knit together by My design, and it finds its rest when you live from your union with Me.
You were not made to carry anxiety in your chest or tension in your shoulders. Your immune system was not designed to fight the fears you rehearse or the bitterness you cradle. These burdens do not belong to you. They were nailed to the cross with Me. You are Mine, and I am peace, not turmoil.
As you abide in Me, your body responds—not to magical healing, but to divine alignment. I am your wholeness. I am your harmony. In Me, your soul finds rest, and your body often follows. Not always with immediate change, but always with peace that surpasses what your nervous system can comprehend. I am the life in you that makes even weakness a resting place for My strength.
You are not just spiritually new—you are wholly Mine. Your body is a temple not just by name, but by My presence. Let My joy be your rhythm. Let My grace be your breath. And when weariness comes, rest in this truth: In Me, you are well and whole.

Real-Life Analogy
It’s like a well-worn pair of shoes that finally gets the right set of insoles. Before, the misalignment led to back pain and fatigue, no matter how sturdy the shoe looked on the outside. But once fitted properly, every step feels lighter—like the shoe was made for the foot. That’s how your body responds when your inner life is aligned with Christ: not by removing the miles you walk, but by making the walk restful.
Prayer of Confidence
Lord, I rest in the truth that I am whole in You. You are not just my righteousness and peace—you are my wellness. In You, I am aligned. In You, I breathe freely. Whether my body feels strong or not today, I trust that You are the One who sustains me, inside and out. Thank You that my frame is known, held, and indwelt by You. I rejoice that my body is not my enemy, but a dwelling place of Your Spirit. You are my peace, and I walk in it.
