He Calls Me Family
Like our names written in gold, our identity in Christ is secure and celebrated.

Today’s reflection from A.B. Simpson calls us to pause and soak in a truth that is too often treated as a distant doctrine instead of a present reality: we are God’s children—right now. Not merely called His children, not symbolically linked, not legally assigned a name without essence—but born of His very life and nature.
This is no honorary title. It is an organic reality birthed by divine union. Christ, in His mercy, is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters. He doesn’t distance Himself from our frailty—He delights in our adoption. His Spirit now indwells us, shaping us to bear a family resemblance to our Savior. One day, we will behold Him fully and know ourselves fully conformed to His likeness. But even now, He acknowledges us openly in heaven’s courts and calls us family.
What grace that the King of kings is not ashamed of the lowliest saint. How small human judgment becomes when we walk in this royal identity. We don’t earn it—we express it. And today, we walk out our door as beloved members of a heavenly household, clothed in Christ and bearing His name.
✍🏼 Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I call you Mine. Not by courtesy, but by birth. I placed My Spirit within you, not as a visitor but as your very life. You are My child now—not later, not when you improve, not once you’ve proven yourself. Now.
You have been born from above. You no longer belong to the shadows of performance or shame. I have made you family—My family—and I am not ashamed to call you brother, sister, beloved. I clothed you with Myself and joined you to My life, so that when the Father sees you, He sees Me.
One day, when you see Me as I am, you will finally know yourself as you are. But even now, I invite you to behold Me in faith and let My likeness take shape in you. This is not something you manufacture—it is something you manifest as you abide in Me.
So walk in your name today. You are Mine. You are royal. You are no longer a stranger or servant—you are a son, a daughter, a co-heir of glory. The world may misunderstand you, but all of heaven recognizes who you are. And I take joy in you.

🧺 Real-Life Analogy
It’s like seeing your name on a wedding invitation—not as a guest, but as part of the family. You don’t have to prove you belong. The name has already been written in gold. You simply show up in love, ready to celebrate the One who brought you in.
🙏🏼 Prayer of Confidence
Father, I thank You that I belong to You—not in theory, but in truth. I am Your child because You have made me so. I rejoice that Christ is not ashamed to call me His own. Let me walk today with the dignity of one who carries Your name, not to impress the world, but to rest in the reality of who I am in You. I am Yours—and that is enough.
