Do You Have God with You?
Just as sunlight warms a room, His presence fills every moment—He is Emmanuel, God with us.

Today’s reflection by Witness Lee invites us into the experiential reality of Emmanuel—God with us. The name Emmanuel isn’t merely theological, it is relational. The devotional reminds us that whenever we experience Jesus—whether as peace, rest, patience, truth, or salvation—we’re not merely receiving a gift from God; we are encountering God Himself in real time. Jesus is not only from God; He is God. He is not just near; He is with us.
When we trust Jesus in our trials, and patience steadies our hearts, that patience is God with us. When peace floods our mind amidst chaos, it is not an impersonal force—it is God with us. Christ is not distant. He is not merely someone we remember or call upon. He is our present reality. His nearness is not an idea, but a Person, and His name is Emmanuel.
To experience Jesus, then, is to experience God Himself. Every moment of true rest in Him, every act of endurance in Him, every step walked in truth and grace—it is God, not just aiding us, but indwelling us. Hallelujah, Jesus is God with us—not just for a moment, but forever.
✍🏼 Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I have never left you. My name is Emmanuel—God with you—and I dwell in you even now. From the beginning I was with God, and I am God. I became flesh to draw near, and by My Spirit I have drawn nearer still, not beside you, but within you.
You do not need to look far to find Me. When you wait patiently in the long moments, that is Me. When you walk in peace though the storm rages, that is Me. When you take the next step in trust, unsure of the outcome, I am the way beneath your feet. I do not give comfort like an outsider handing down relief; I am your comfort. I do not provide rest from afar; I am your rest.
All that I am, I have shared with you. When you experience Me, you experience God. In Me is the fullness of God—nothing less—and that fullness dwells in you. This is the mystery once hidden, now revealed: Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Let your heart no longer search for a distant God. I am as near as your next breath, as present as your next act of trust. I am God with you, God in you, and I will never depart.

🧺 Real-Life Analogy
It’s like feeling the warmth of sunlight through a window on a winter morning. You don’t have to see the sun directly or run outside to know it's real—you feel its presence right where you are. In the same way, when peace, patience, or joy fills your heart in Jesus, that warmth isn’t separate from Him—it is Him. He is with you.
🙏🏼 Prayer of Confidence
Father, I rejoice that You are not far off or hidden in the clouds. In Christ, You are Emmanuel—God with me. I don’t need to ask for Your nearness; You are here. You have become my patience, my peace, my salvation, my truth. Thank You for making Yourself known not just in words, but in living experience. I rest in the reality that You are with me now, and forever.
