At Home in Glory
Walking confidently into the Father’s presence, perfectly dressed in Christ

Today’s devotional from Miles Stanford reminds us that we are not only welcomed into the presence of our Father by the blood of Christ—we are fit for that presence because we are clothed in Christ Himself. The door into the Holiest place has been opened, not merely for visitation, but for habitation. We don’t step into God’s presence as beggars hoping for acceptance. We dwell there as those who have been fully accepted in the Beloved and made suitable by His indwelling life.
Yet, there is a divine balance. We cannot bypass the Cross to enjoy the fellowship of resurrection life. True intimacy with the risen Lord is always rooted in the reality of our co-death with Him. This crucified union keeps our fellowship pure, free from self-effort and spiritual pride. It’s not a rush into glory while ignoring the Cross—it is the Cross that has broughtus into glory.
The joy of God’s heart is not simply that we come to Him, but that we abide with Him. He doesn’t tolerate us in His presence—He delights in us there, because we come not as we once were, but as we now are: new creations, shaped by Christ’s own beauty and righteousness. We are not misfits trying to conform to a holy environment—we are transformed from within to fit perfectly in the fellowship of divine love.
This intimacy isn’t just vertical—it equips us to live outwardly. Only those who have drawn near inside the veil can effectively live for Christ outside the camp. Our power to witness comes not from trying to imitate a holy life, but from sharing His life.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
You are not an intruder here. You belong. You come not in your name, but Mine. My blood has opened the way, and My life has clothed you in garments suitable for the Holiest place. You have come through death into life—not your improved self, but your exchanged self. The Cross removed what was unfit; resurrection imparted what is glorious.
When you draw near, you do so with a heart full of assurance because My Spirit testifies with yours that you are Mine. The curtain is no longer a barrier but a welcome. My presence is not a distant hope—it is your current dwelling. You were crucified with Christ; it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you. And where I live, there is peace, righteousness, and joy.
I am not waiting to test your worthiness. I have already made you worthy in the Beloved. The Father delights in your company because He delights in Me, and you are hidden in Me. You do not need to strive to belong—you need only abide. You are shaped by glory because you share in My life. You are not merely visiting holiness—you are its dwelling place.
So remain near. Let your confidence rest in what I have done, not in what you might try to become. From this place of holy nearness, you will shine outwardly. You will carry the fragrance of Heaven into every earthly camp. You will not merely represent Me—you will express Me.

Real-Life Analogy
It’s like stepping into a formal gala with a perfectly tailored tuxedo or gown, custom-designed for you by the host. You don’t worry about fitting in—you already do. You don’t wonder if you’re dressed appropriately—you are clothed in exactly what’s required. You don’t feel out of place—you feel at home because everything about you reflects the host’s intent.
In daily life, you may walk into situations—workplace meetings, difficult conversations, spiritual challenges—wondering if you’re “enough.” But remember: you are clothed in Christ. You are shaped by His glory and invited to dwell with confidence. Yield to Him in that moment with a heart that says, “Lord, I trust You to live Your life through me right now, because I am already welcome in the presence of the Father.”
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that I do not approach You timidly or with fear, but boldly—because I stand in Christ. You have removed all distance from Your side and drawn me into fellowship, not as a stranger but as one conformed to the beauty of Your Son. I rest in Your delight, not because of who I was, but because of who I now am in Christ. Thank You that I never have to strive to be welcome—I already belong. Let me live today from the joy of being at home in You.
