Jesus announced a kingdom that touches the whole person, eyes opened, ears able to hear, legs ready to walk, skin made clean, hearts awakened, lives raised from what was dead. In Matthew 11, He points to signs that tell John the Baptist, yes, the Messiah is here. The blind see. The lame walk. The lepers are cleansed. The deaf hear. The dead are raised. The poor receive good news. Today, I gratefully acknowledge Witness Lee for tracing how each sign carries spiritual meaning for everyday life.
I hear the invitation clearly. Salvation is not a thin ticket to heaven. Salvation is Jesus Himself bringing sight where I could not see, giving me ears for His voice, and setting my steps in a new way. I did not climb my way into this. The Good News found me. The Lord opened what I could not open, and He welcomed me into His people.
There is also a corporate beauty here. Jesus forms a people who see together, hear together, and walk together. The gospel makes the poor rich in Jesus, not as isolated individuals only, but as a body joined to the Head. When He cleanses and raises, He is building a living household where His life flows through every member.
So I rest today in what the Lord has already done and is doing. He gives sight so I can receive Him. He gives life so I can walk with Him. He places me among His people so love can grow. Blessed is the one who is not stumbled by the way Jesus chooses to work, for His way is merciful, personal, and complete.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I open your eyes so you may turn from darkness to light, and from the rule of sin to the rule of the Son. I bring you into the fellowship of the saints, and I give you a place among those made holy by faith. I wash what was unclean. I make you alive together with Jesus. I place My law within your heart so you can walk in newness of life.
You were poor without Jesus, and I made you rich with every spiritual blessing in Him. You were deaf to My voice, and now you know My voice and follow. You were lame in the path of God, and I set your feet steady by the life of Jesus in you. You were dead in sins, and I raised you with Him, seating you with Him so your spirit is free to commune with the Father.
Do not measure today by your old condition. Set your mind on things above, where Jesus is. Present yourself to Me as one alive from the dead. Walk by the Spirit. Put on the new self which is created after God. Let the peace of Jesus rule in your heart as you live in the body, and let His word dwell in you richly. I am faithful, and I will do it as you yield and trust.
Real-Life Analogy
Think of entering a dark room and switching on a lamp. Nothing in the room changed shape when the light came on. What changed was your capacity to see. Once the light fills the space, you stop stumbling. You move with ease. The lamp does not lecture the furniture. It simply shines, and the room is different to you.
In the same way, the indwelling Spirit of Jesus gives sight and direction from within. This is not a self-run checklist. It is Jesus expressing His life in you. When you step into a tense conversation, instead of bracing and managing outcomes, quietly take your place of trust, and let His light guide your words. You might pray, Lord, I trust You to live Your life in me and through me in this moment, giving me clear sight and a steady tongue as I listen and respond. Then speak with the calm and honesty He supplies.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that in Jesus I am no longer blind, deaf, lame, unclean, dead, or poor. You have opened my eyes, tuned my ears, set my steps, cleansed my story, raised my life, and poured out the riches of grace in the Beloved. I belong to Your people, and Your Spirit dwells in me. Today I receive what You have already given, sight for my choices, life for my walk, cleansing for my conscience, and good news that makes me rich in Jesus. I rest in Your finished work, and I welcome Your present working through me, for Your glory and the good of others. Amen.
