Already Blessed, Learning To Receive
Already provided, simply received

To be in Jesus is to share what belongs to Him. Ruth Paxson says it plainly. Every spiritual blessing in Him is ours here and now. Not earned. Not borrowed. Given. Paul anchors it in Ephesians 1 verse 3. The Father has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. That changes how we walk into the day.
The devotional presses a gentle correction. Many of us still ask God to bless us as if we are empty accounts waiting for a deposit. Legters reminds us that the deposit has already cleared. The Father has placed us in His Son. In Christ we are welcomed, supplied, and secure. Our role is to believe and receive, not to grovel for what is already ours.
This does not ignore real needs. It reframes them. Joy, peace, victory, holiness, and power are not prizes we chase. They are the life of Jesus shared with His body. We live from union, not from lack. We draw on what is already provided, and we do so together as His people, not as isolated heroes.
I am grateful for today’s entry in HVI. It turns our faces toward the fullness that is already ours in the Lord. One beggar showing another where the bread is. Not in our striving, but in the living Christ within us.
Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
I placed you in My Son. In Him you are blessed with every spiritual blessing. I chose you in Him and made you My own. I seated you with Him and poured grace upon grace. I am with you and in you. All My promises find their Yes in Him.
You are a new creation. You were baptized into His death and raised to walk in newness of life. Your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. I have given you everything needed for life and godliness. You are complete in Christ, and I supply according to My riches in glory.
Do not live as if you are outside the house looking in. You are joined to the Lord, one spirit with Him. I abide in you. Apart from Me you can do nothing that lasts, but united to Me you bear fruit in season. From His fullness you receive, grace upon grace. I did not spare My own Son. With Him I freely give you all things that serve My purposes.
So come with confidence. Receive what is already yours in the Beloved. Draw near with thanksgiving. Let the peace of the Anointed One guard your heart. Let His word dwell richly in you. Walk by the Spirit. Let the life of Jesus be seen in your patience, purity, courage, and joy today.
Real Life Analogy
Think of a grocery gift card that has already been loaded. The value is on the card before you ever step to the register. You do not beg the cashier to add money. You simply tap to receive what has already been provided.
Our life in Jesus is like that. The Spirit of God lives in us, and the account of grace is full. When anxiety whispers that you are empty before a difficult meeting, pause and agree with what is true. Lord, I trust You to express Your peace in me as I speak. Then act from that settled center. Walk into the room, tell the truth plainly, listen without defensiveness, and leave the outcome in His hands. That is not white knuckles. That is yielding to the One who indwells you.
Prayer of Confidence
Father, thank You that in Christ I am already blessed with every spiritual blessing. Thank You that Your Spirit lives in me, and from His fullness I receive grace for this day. Thank You that I am crucified with Christ and alive to You, complete in Him, and supplied for every good work. I step into today resting in Your provision, expecting Jesus to be seen in what I say and do. Amen.
