All Hail: Health in the Risen Christ

Like the risen Christ greeting us with warmth and wholeness, the morning sun whispers, “All is well.”

On the morning of His resurrection, Jesus met the women at the tomb with a greeting that sounds simple but holds a deeper meaning: “All hail.” At first glance, it might seem like a cheerful “hello,” but A. B. Simpson tells us the root of that word reaches into something much richer—an old Saxon word for health. His greeting wasn’t just polite; it was life-giving.

When Jesus said “All hail,” He wasn't merely expressing joy. He was speaking peace, vitality, and wholeness into their lives. Much like John’s words to Gaius—“I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health”—this was both a blessing and a proclamation. In Christ, health isn’t just a wish; it’s a spiritual reality. Today’s reflection reminds us that when Jesus greets us, He does so with words that don’t merely acknowledge our presence but awaken our soul with the reality of His resurrection life. “All hail” becomes more than a morning salutation—it is an invitation to walk in the fullness of resurrection wholeness.

Personalized Journal Entry – Voice of the Holy Spirit
I greeted the women that morning not with a whisper of pity, but with a declaration of life. “All hail”—a word wrapped in resurrection, laced with vitality. In Me, you are not merely surviving; you are made whole. My greeting carries the power of My cross and the victory of My empty tomb. What I spoke to them, I speak to you.

You are greeted not from afar, but from within. You are not waiting for healing; you are indwelt by the Healer. You are not grasping for peace; you are embraced by the Prince of Peace. The health I wish for you is not distant or tentative—it is real, spiritual, and sure. As you abide in Me, the vitality of heaven flows through your spirit, renewing your mind and quickening your body as I see fit. You are hale and hearty in Me, even on weary days.

So come. Grasp My feet. Worship with full hearts, not as beggars but as beloved. Receive My greeting today not as a formality, but as a fountain. You are alive in Me—and that is more than enough.

Real-Life Analogy
It’s like standing in the morning sun after days of gloom. You step outside, and before a word is spoken, the warmth tells you everything’s going to be okay. The sun doesn't ask how you slept—it simply shines on you. That’s what His greeting is like. It wraps around you with radiant assurance: You are well because I am with you.

Prayer of Confidence
Jesus, thank You for greeting me today with the fullness of Your life. I don’t need to chase after peace or plead for healing. You are my peace. You are my wholeness. Because You are risen, I rise with You—not someday in the future, but now, in spirit and truth. I rest in Your greeting today and walk with joy, knowing You’ve spoken life over me.
